Programmable power supply adds Ethernet interface
The SPSE is Amrel's first 1.2kW switching power supply with a fully functional keypad as well as an embedded Ethernet interface.
Impedance analyser complements electronic loads
The Amrel IA integral impedance analyser is designed to work with the company's line of e-Load electronic loads, eliminating the need for a frequency response analyser.
The ePower's SPS rack-mount units range from 1.2 to 30kW, up to 800V DC and 2700A DC.
The HPS panel-mount units range from 20 to more than 900kW, 10 to 2500V DC, and 23 to 7500A DC.
Both units are available with an embedded Ethernet interface.

Amrel's Mini Modular eLoad is billed as the first electronic load specifically designed and packaged to meet the special requirements of the rapidly growing micro power industry.
Supplies test with micro resolution
Amrel/American Reliance has released what it claims to be the industry's first dual-channel switch-mode power supply under 600W.
Allowing engineers the choice of Ethernet capabilities provides them with the opportunity to increase and expand on their testing capabilities and high speed wireless communication demands.
Amrel exceeds customer's requirements, whether it is a GPIB interface which requires only one address for the entire system or the built-in output isolation and polarity reversal relays available with Amrel's 1.2kW SPS models.
Amrel's SPS and HPS Series include models capable of being configured to act as either master and/or slave.
Network control options available via Ethernet or RS485 include the MC-2 and MCU-2.
The MCU-2 allows the slave units to be connected in a star configuration via the Ethernet bus.
Amrel's technology has enabled these power supplies to have a wide selection of interface options, including front panel control, external (0-10V) analogue control, and Ethernet/USB.
The user-friendly front panel contributes to the ease of programming.
They are built to offer outstanding programming with exceptional resolution and accuracy.
The ePower SPS and HPS units offer precise line/load regulation in addition to low peak-to-peak ripple-noise.
With the ability to control up to 31 individual slave units through one master unit, managing multiple outputs through one controller enables users a greater range of flexibility and more efficient transmission of data.
The SPS series offers GPIB/SCPI, RS232, Ethernet and USB interfaces, closed-case calibration, 10-turn potentiometer for voltage and current control, programmable protection modes, master/slave capabilities, and full function keypad control with auto-sequencing and triggering.
The HPS series offers high dielectric voltage tolerance, closed-case calibration, certified LabWindows/CVI and LabView for GPIB, serial, TCP/IP communications, high efficiency and high power factor ( better than 0.9 PF) operation.
Amrel also offers the NEMA 3R weather enclosure for harsh environment storage options.
Both the ePower SPS and HPS Series have the design flexibility to customise and/or modify to meet customers special system requirements.
