Benchtop electronic load has top current rating

800W electronic load addresses the growing trends in digital power, energy efficiency and renewable energy requiring more advanced and sophisticated T and M equipment.

Last week's Fuel Cell 2007 Conference saw Amrel/American Reliance release a new 800W eLoad benchtop electronic load (BPL) to address the growing trends in digital power, energy efficiency and renewable energy requiring more advanced and sophisticated T and M equipment.

Until now, existing benchtop DC electronic load solutions have only offered distributed features and capabilities, with one solution providing high current and high power ratings yet sacrificing accuracy and resolution, or another offering full features and fast response while compromising power and current handling capability.

Amrel's load consolidates key features and parameters into a single 3U box by introducing the 800W eLoad BPL - billed as the one box solution for all testing requirements.

The 800W eLoad BPL offers two models, 60V/200A DC and 600V/30A DC.

As well as offering the industry's highest current rating, the eLoad BPL embeds an ultralow current range providing precision, resolution, and accuracy for low power and current requirements.

According to John Lu, ARI's Product Marketing Engineer: "The customer will be purchasing a high-precision 800W and 80W DC electronic load in a single box".

The eLoad BPL continues Amrel's tradition of offering full features, such as, in-rack closed-cased calibration, eight transient and four static operating modes, embedded RS232/GPIB/USB/Ethernet connectivity, LabView/LabWindows drivers and the newest addition, Amrel's Virtual Panel, to provide customers with smart value, increased ROI, and reduced startup time in a one-box benchtop solution.

Applications for the eLoad BPL include, but are not limited to, AC/DC power supplies/DC/DC convertors, POL, fuel cells, batteries, chargers, energy storage, ultracapacitors, power electronics, components testing, and other DC power testing applications.
