Amino Communications has appointed Grant Masom as its Chairman.

Amino Communications has appointed Grant Masom as its Chairman Masom is renowned within the IT industry and with the City as an expert in nurturing technology companies to maturity

Amino has made rapid progress in developing its patented IntAct technology and has already won a number of major contracts.

The appointment of a Chairman is the next step in furthering the growth of Amino in European and Worldwide markets.

The company has been particularly successful within the digital set top box and gateway markets and also has licensees in the mobile Internet terminal and semi-conductor markets.

"Amino has made great strides in developing its technology, and is firmly positioned to become a world leader in today's dynamic markets", said Masom.

"My role will be to bring my experience to bear on Amino, accelerating and consolidating its growth to ensure that the high-speed development of Amino's business is managed effectively and a successful outcome achieved for the company's shareholders".

Masom is 44 years old and a 20-year veteran of the IT industry.

He brings particular experience of the networking sector and of developing and growing businesses internationally.

Previously, he held senior management positions with Hewlett-Packard, Symbolics, Tricom Communications and GADC Networks.

He currently holds nonexecutive positions in three other companies within the IT industry including Dan Technologies.
