Large displays offer 50 or 100mm high LEDs
Designed to enable displayed data to be read over long distances, the BDF series are large four or six digit displays with 50 (2in) or 100mm (4in) high LEDs.
This technology allows very high output current densities, offering 5 or 3.3V DC at 40A on the main rails plus a further +12V DC at 5.5A and -12V DC at 1.5A.
The units are available with a power factor corrected universal input (type CPA) or a DC/DC input of 36-75V (type CPD).
With an efficiency of over 80%, the supplies have many features designed to support hot-swap redundant applications.
Connections to the host chassis are via a standard Positronic 47-pin connector.
The front panel has both input and output voltage status LEDs, and interface signals include inhibit, power fail and temperature warning.
The 5, 3.3 and +12V rails all have remote sense, current sharing facilities and are fitted with the FET equivalents of ORing diodes.
All units operate from 0 to 50C.
The CPA/CPD CompactPCI units meet CE requirements for LVD and EMC standards, and a 6U version will shortly be available for users of the larger chassis.
