SBC Incorporates Celeron Pentium II Processor
A new generation single board computer, which incorporates the state-of-the-art Celeron Pentium II, is now available from Amplicon Liveline.
All enclosed within a rugged magnesium alloy die-cast chassis, sealed to IP52 ratings.
The primary battery supplied with the laptop is a removable 78W Lithium Ion battery, with two secondary 52W lithium ion battery options for expansion bays 1 and 2.
These can provide a combined power of 182W and may easily be installed or removed by means of the integrated handles provided.
With these powerful Lithium Ion batteries the unit has an outstanding operating range and can function without mains backup for up to 5.5h under normal conditions, with no power saving options employed.
A major benefit of the laptop is its modular expansion capabilities, with the expansion bays offering additional functionality, providing for a unit that is highly flexible, robust and powerful.
Some of the flexible features include a removable 10.2Gbyte hard drive with shock resistant damper, two integral Type II or one Type III PCMCIA slots, and also a PCI/ISA expansion bay supporting either two 3/4 length ISA or PCI cards.
Other expansion options could include changing over the supplied floppy disk drive in favour of CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, secondary battery pack or even secondary hard drive, to be used one at a time.
Bay 2 allows for a choice of a further PCMCIA slot, two sealed COM ports, sealed SCSI II module, sealed 56Kbaud modem and 100baseT LAN module, or perhaps the third battery pack, dependant on the users requirements.
These options need to be specified at point of order.
Weighing 5.45kg, and measuring 310 x 255 x 70mm, the A760S features an integral carry handle, and also rubber bumpers at each corner for additional protection.
The LCD screen provides a sealed antiglare window as well as rubber damper for shock/drop resistance.
All characteristics of the laptop are shower and dustproof.
