In the second phase of its restructuring programme, Amplicon Liveline has recently upgraded its already highly successful website to fall in line with the company's new corporate image, providing an enhanced search function, improved navigation and simplified ordering system, all combined with a cleaner, slicker look and feel.

The company recently invested in two full time marketing communications specialists; one with extensive web programming skills, the other graphic design.

This expertise enables the company to react immediately to situations, allowing new products, pricing and data to be brought to market extremely rapidly.

Designed to simplify the search process, the site operates directly from the company's core Oracle database, which also controls the corporate CD-ROM, catalogue, and the CRM system.

Every piece of information viewed on the site is edited and approved in-house, prior to going live in all media simultaneously.

This enables Amplicon to provide its customers with completely up-to-date and consistent information.

The site offers a lot more technical support than previously, with drivers, manuals etc available for downloading, as well as downloadable datasheets for every product featured.

In addition, functions such as an online glossary and FAQ section have been added.

Users can simply select the section they are interested in and navigate with no more than three clicks to their chosen area.

Since its relaunch, Amplicon has seen a large increase in sales and is now selling a lot more major product on-line.

Customers are able to purchase products safe in the knowledge that stock information is real-time, with the site featuring order traceability and next day delivery, and both account customers as well as credit card orders catered for.
