Amplicon Liveline has recently been appointed by Fabrimex to distribute its range of power convertors in the UK With a range of 20 models from 1.5 to 150W, the variety of power conversion devices being offered by this technical specialist distributor is significantly increased

With Amplicon's high level of technical competence, the company has all the expertise to handle the complete Fabrimex range, therefore it is a natural decision for the two companies to work together operating as partners.

With the capability of Fabrimex to respond to sample requests of many of the models from stock, short lead-times for prototyping are assured.

Fabrimex also has a very flexible approach to modifications and designs, and will carry these out for low volumes.

Every product has a number of options as standard, to enable the end user to select exactly the correct device for his application.

"Fabrimex is a very dynamic company and in featuring its products, Amplicon is extending its offering to the marketplace and protecting its customers", commented Duncan Palmer, Power Conversion Product Manager at Amplicon.

In the latest catalogue, Amplicon features board-mounted DC/DC convertors with an identical small footprint of 32 x 20 x 10.2mm.

These products are ideal for mounting directly into a board within a standard footprint, and surface mount options are also available.

Supplied in 24-pin DIL cases, these DC/DC convertors range from 1.5 to 6W, providing the user with design flexibility, and are highly suitable for use in products where analogue circuitry is involved.

The 1.5W EC series has a linearly regulated output, which gives a ripple and noise low enough for highly sensitive analogue equipment.

The 2/3W DCX series with its wide voltage input range suits battery powered portable equipment.

The 3W ECU3 series, with a 4:1 input ratio, provides a universal solution to multiple input voltage driven devices, in particular for data acquisition and telecomms applications.

Finally the 5/6W ECU5 series have optional higher voltage isolation, which enables safety barriers to be implemented, they are also ideal for high floating voltage applications.
