Amplicon Liveline has made a substantial investment in the resources of its central operating site in Brighton, East Sussex.

In a move that further advances its business development programme and strengthens its support for customers in the UK and overseas, Amplicon Liveline has made a substantial investment in the resources of its central operating site in Brighton, East Sussex.

This announcement signifies an ambitious growth strategy that aims to see Amplicon double in size over the next 4-5 years and follows the company's strong trading performance in 2002, achieved in the face of difficult market conditions.

The company has embarked on a major recruitment drive that has already seen the appointment of a significant number of sales and support staff.

In addition, more than GBP 250,000 is being invested over the next 2-3 years in the upgrading and refurbishment of Amplicon's offices, engineering and warehouse facilities at the Centenary Industrial Estate in Brighton.

This is in readiness for the planned increase in personnel as the company's growth plans advance.

The refurbishment will provide additional meetings rooms and a new staff recreation area.

As part of this expansion policy, Amplicon also continues to strengthen its already impressive product portfolio and range of added-value services.

The company has significantly increased its own industrial computer manufacturing and configuration capacity to include CompactPCI and PXI, and has recently signed new UK agreements to distribute server boards for Iwill, configurable 1600W power supply products from UK based HiTek Power, wireless LAN products from CNet and compact data loggers from UK-based Gemini.

"This investment in new products, enhanced resources and personnel is key to our strategic growth plans", comments Mike Wood, Managing Director of Amplicon Liveline.

He continues: "Current market conditions are certainly not easy but with drive, focus and an excellent, highly motivated team of talented individuals we are out-performing industry norms.

This success can be directly attributed to the quality of our personnel and the excellence of our engineering support to both of which we are committed".
