A new high-speed digitiser, faster processors and a variety of chassis enable the design of more flexible and accurate PXI systems.

Amplicon has a number of exciting new PXI products, increasing the options and capabilities of the platform These new products include a new high-speed digitiser, faster processors and a variety of chassis that will enable more flexible and accurate PXI systems to be designed

Expanding Amplicon's range of PXI instruments, a 7.5-digit high-accuracy multimeter card allows more precise measurements and a superior degree of control and management.

For high-speed input requirements, a digitiser with a sampling rate of 500Msample/s has also been introduced.

The integration of existing instruments into PXI systems can easily be achieved by the new PXI-3488 GPIB interface.

A number of new controllers are now available with both higher and more cost effective processing power.

A 1.8GHz Pentium M-based controller has been added for high-end applications where maximum processor power is required.

A lower cost Celeron M controller has been introduced for cost and power-sensitive applications, and the price for Amplicon's 1.6GHz Pentium M controller has also been reduced.

For a truly portable solution, the Adlink PXIS-2680P portable chassis has eight slots for 3U modules and features a 15in touch-screen display and keyboard.

Two other new chassis, the 14-slot 3U and a 15-slot 6U module, have also been introduced to supplement Amplicon's existing six- and 18-slot offerings, giving users a greater choice of enclosures.

"The popularity of the PXI platform has led to customers demanding more instruments, interfaces and infrastructure products to extend their existing systems and deploy new ones".

"Amplicon's already extensive range, now supplemented by these exciting new products, is the perfect choice to suit all application needs without compromising on cost requirements", commented John Hayward, Product Manager of the Measurement and Control Group at Amplicon.

The Amplicon range of PXI products includes chassis, controllers, data acquisition, instruments, switches, motion control and GPIB interface cards.

The online PXI configurator on Amplicon's website makes it easy to build and configure any type of PXI system.
