World's first scalable analogue design platform
Anadigmvortex is the industry's first product family to enable the design and implementation of dynamically reconfigurable analogue circuits that deliver precision and scalability to embedded systems.
Analogue array aims for multichannel processing
The latest addition to the Anadigmvortex dynamically reconfigurable field-programmable analogue array family features a versatile I/O cell design.
"We're very pleased that our achievements in developing a new platform for analogue design have been recognised by the industry's most prominent source of information and analysis for design engineering", said Bill McLean, President and CEO at Anadigm.
"Over the past 13 years, EDN's awards programme has honoured a long line of distinguished products and technologies, and we're proud to be included among the leaders in the electronics industry considered for the 2002 award".
Anadigm's Anadigmvortex is the industry's first product family to enable the design and implementation of dynamically reconfigurable analogue circuits a breakthrough capability that allows analogue functions to be controlled as a peripheral in an embedded microcontroller-based system.

Development board for programmable analogue arrays
Anadigm - formerly Anadyne Microelectronics - has launched a development and evaluation board for field programmable analogue arrays (FPAAs).
Software puts standard filters on analogue arrays
Anadigm has added filter synthesis to its field-programmable analogue array (FPAA) configuration software.
Combining powerful new EDA software, configurable analogue modules (CAMs), and advanced FPAAs, Anadigmvortex reduces the time required for analogue design implementations from months to minutes.
With Anadigm's second-generation product family, users can design and implement circuits using the intuitive AnadigmDesigner 2 software.
Time to solution is drastically reduced compared with an analogue ASIC or discrete implementation, and designers can update the circuit functionality in real time using automatically generated C-code.
Dynamic reconfigurability enables real-time reload of new device configurations, allowing the device operation to be "time-sliced".
System integrity is also preserved through manipulation of the tuning or the construction of any part of the circuit without interrupting operation of the FPAA.
A panel of EDN's technical editors selected finalists for the 2002 Innovation of the Year Awards in 17 categories.
Award winners will be determined by EDN readers through an online ballot on the EDN website (www.edn.com), where reviewer comments for each product have been posted.
The results of the ballot are to be announced at an awards ceremony on 22nd April and published in the 1st May issue of EDN.
A trial copy of AnadigmDesigner 2 is available for free download from the Anadigm website.
