The world's first comprehensive protocol test solutions for 3G terminals have been launched for the first time in the Asia-Pacific region by Anite Telecoms The new 3G range of test solutions includes the company's U-HT, a host test product designed for handset protocol and applications software testing without the need for the target platform, and U-SAT, for on-target protocol and applications testing of terminals through the RF interface

Both of these solutions offer a variety of configurations and tool options, allowing custom test environments to be built to suit customer's testing needs.

The extensive range of options allows users to address testing of development, conformance and interoperability, and because these tool options are shared by both U-HT and U-SAT this allows regression testing to be easily performed, using the same tests on and off target.

Anite's 3G host tester and protocol tester are the first systems available on the global market supporting 3G design and development testing through to complex conformance, certification and interoperability tests.

These products are part of a comprehensive and cohesive suite of 3G test solutions, aimed at ensuring that users maximise test coverage, whilst minimising time to market.

These new 3G products are integrated into Anite's existing range of GSM, GPRS and Edge test solutions enabling straightforward upgrades to full, multi-technology testing on a single platform.

This capability allows 2G, 2.5G and 3G users the earliest opportunity to test out the complex area of interoperability, without having to invest in a complete new system.

Anite's new and extensive range of 3G products have already been sold to key 3G developers in Europe, Japan and in the US heading towards short-term sales in excess of ?10 million.
