Anite's U-SAT 3G user equipment (UE) test platform, which was previously focused on layers 2, 3 and above, now includes a comprehensive layer 1 test capability This new capability is provided to Anite by UbiNetics, which developed the radio and baseband components of the Anite U-SAT

UbiNetics also developed the world's first and only commercially available 3G test mobile, using similar RF and baseband components.

This test mobile has been used to prove the world's leading 3G infrastructures, providing both UbiNetics and Anite with unique experience in layer 1 implementation and integration.

Mobiles tested against this test equipment will have a minimum of Layer 1 interoperability problems when used against current 3G infrastructures.

No other test equipment can offer this.

Testing of layer 1 is controlled via a graphical user interface, offering a range of physical-layer configuration and measurement options allowing UE hardware to be tested independently of UE protocol software.

The transceivers can be configured directly, without having to configure layer 2 (RLC and MAC).

Layer 1 measurements are taken at user-defined intervals and displayed in real time, as well as being logged to a file for later analysis.

This Layer 1 test functionality is offered as a stand-alone product, or as a standard feature of the more comprehensive Anite U-SAT protocol test solutions.
