Wireless and network test vendors merge
A leading provider of test solutions for the wireless industry, has completed the acquisition of the network test business of Elektrobit.
Anite, a leading provider of test solutions for the wireless industry, has completed the acquisition of Nemo Technologies, the network test business of Elektrobit Group.
The combined companies will operate as separate divisions under the Anite brand name to offer an enhanced wireless test product range, covering systems for handset development, integration, conformance and interoperability testing through to an extensive range of field measurement solutions.
In offering this breadth of effective and easy to use testing solutions to the wireless industry, Anite will help operators and manufacturers reduce development costs and speed time to market for new services and offerings.
"This is an exciting and strategic step for Anite".
"By combining the strengths of Nemo with our wireless business we are moving towards our goal of building the world's leading wireless test software business", says Anite Chief Executive, Steve Rowley.
"Evolutions in radio technologies and the advent of wireless broadband are massively increasing the demands placed upon wireless infrastructure and user equipment, which in turn are becoming more complex".
"Testing ensures that service providers and vendors can bring to market services that seamlessly integrate new technologies, and Anite is increasingly the partner of choice to help simplify this challenge".
Both companies share a common focus on current and future wireless air interface technologies, and Anite expects to gain significant R and D benefits through shared knowledge and customer and supplier relationships.
In particular, Anite is planning to integrate its SAS handset Interoperability product with Nemo's Field Measurement solutions, aligning the roadmap for each product to ensure seamless integration and user experience.
By providing a testing solution that helps develop both handsets and networks at all stages of development, Anite will help customers to much more closely match real world network conditions in the laboratory.
