Analog Devices has redesigned its website to be faster and easier to access, with a new home page that offers engineers the amenities of a virtual design centre This one-stop virtual design centre was created to anticipate the needs of design engineers, and provide them with a single gateway to the most up-to-date product information and services

From models and design tools like online calculators to application notes, product datasheets, other technical research materials and purchasing information, the virtual design centre equips design engineers with all the data and tools needed to get their jobs done, and their products to market on time.

"We've positioned the new ADI Website as an integral design tool for engineers", said Pascal Cerruti, European Marketing Communications Director, Analog Devices.

"Our research indicates that design engineers, who are the primary users of our website, need more than just product or technology data.

They are there to perform specific tasks that support offline projects with often-critical deadlines.

ADI wants to make their jobs easier by anticipating their requirements, and giving them the appropriate product information, tools and services to be even more efficient and productive".

As design engineers' needs continually evolve, ADI will be updating and improving the new site to address their requirements, and plans more online services for the future.

However, there is already one existing service - myAnalog.com - that will reap additional benefits from the redesign.

Engineers who are currently members of the myAnalog.com community now can set up and customise their own pages with specific ADI information of particular relevance to them.

Users also can take advantage of basic personalisation capabilities such as being notified once a week via e-mail about what is new or updated per their personalised selections.

ADI's broader and more robust website infrastructure will now allow for a diverse array of new applications, with many more services and capabilities extended particularly to myAnalog.com members.

ADI's next task is to help customers design circuit boards more efficiently online than offline.

Products then could enter the production cycle much faster, and engineers would have control over using the data available on the ADI website to their best possible advantage.

"We've laid the foundation for putting users in control with the ability to manipulate the site presentation the way it works best for them", said Cerruti.
