Fastest claim for dual voltage comparator
Analog Devices has an ultra-fast dual voltage comparator with better than 75ps overdrive dispersion that provides for minimal timing variation across the full input amplitude range.
Analog Devices has an ultra-fast (300ps propagation delay), dual voltage comparator with better than 75ps overdrive dispersion that provides for minimal timing variation across the full input amplitude range.
The AD53519 provides an ECL logic output indicating the relative potentials on its two inputs for use in clock recovery, clock distribution, and to adjust timing in high speed systems such as telecommunications and military communications equipment, automatic test equipment, instrumentation, process control, medical equipment, environmental controls, and servers and memory banks.
The AD53519 also incorporates a latch function that captures and stores events, allowing slower speed logic to respond at a later time.
The AD53519 has a true differential input - as opposed to one high-speed input plus a reference input - allowing it to be used as a line receiver.
Additional attributes of this comparator include a 5Gbit/s toggle rate for high-speed data conditioning, a 200ps minimum pulsewidth (2.5GHz equivalent bandwidth) for reshaping single event waveforms, and a wide input differential voltage range (-2.0 to +3.0V), which offers increased input protection.
The AD53519 is priced at $4.50 per unit in 1000 piece quantities, and is available now in a 20-lead PLCC package.
