The ADG1233 and ADG1234 single-pole double-throw switches operate with +/-12 or +/-15V supplies, and boast the industry's lowest capacitance and charge injection.

Manufactured on ADI's proprietary iCMOS (industrial CMOS) process technology, the ADG1233 and ADG1234 single-pole double-throw (SPDT) switches operate with +/-12 or +/-15V supplies, delivering the industry's lowest capacitance and charge injection Their low off-capacitance (1.5pF) and charge injection (sub-1pC) make them ideal for data-acquisition and sample-and-hold applications that require low glitch and fast settling; their fast on/off switching speed (120/40ns); and their wide -3dB bandwidth (900MHz) make them well suited for video switching (external video buffers may be required)

The switches features 120ohm on-resistance, 3.5ohm channel-to-channel match, and 20ohm variation over the 0-to-VDD signal range.

The ADG1233/ADG1234 devices meet a need among industrial design engineers for analogue switches that increase data acquisition speeds.

These new ICs satisfy this requirement by offering the lowest available capacitance and charge injection.

Their low capacitance and low charge injection cause smaller glitches and lower offset voltages, thus enabling faster sampling and increased performance in data-acquisition systems and video signal routers.

The ADG1233 triple SPDT switch is offered in 16-lead TSSOP and 4 x 4mm LFCSP packages.

The ADG1234 quad SPDT switch is offered in 20-lead TSSOP and 4 x 4mm LFCSP packages.

These small packages enable a 77% reduction in board space compared with competing solutions.

The ultralow power dissipation (less than 0.03uW) achieved by the iCMOS process technology also makes these devices well suited for portable and battery-powered instrumentation equipment.

The ADG1233 and ADG1234 monolithic analogue switches are available in production now and priced at $3.95 per unit in 1000-piece quantities.

Both devices are offered over the extended industrial temperature range (-40 to +125C).
