There are several new features included in the 5.0 release.
The core file support feature stores the contents of all registers and memory at any point in time, and allows state restoration at a later time.
Release 5.0 offers custom board support which allows users to customise register windows and reset values, and to also display the custom register windows in the IDDE.
Also new to the 5.0 release is the support for MISRA-C:2004 C programming guidelines.
This feature provides comprehensive support for checking compliance with Motor Industry Software Reliability Association rules.
A number of other enhancements have been included based on customer feedback and emerging market requirements, including license and validation enhancements that allow MAC address based validation and the use of floating licence from a remote server for periods of time.
Because developers today seek to reduce time to market by choosing a robust ecosystem that brings them nearer to the capabilities of their end-products, Analog Devices provides industry-leading tools, that include starter kits and ADI Crosscore software and hardware tools that support Blackfin, SHARC, and TigerSHARC processors.
ADI Crosscore tools include the award-winning VisualDSP++ integrated development and debug environment (IDDE), emulators and EZ-Kit Lite evaluation hardware.
