Design kits speed LCD applications
Kits help engineers to accelerate integration of TPO's high-resolution, physically compact and power-efficient LCD technology into embedded applications.
Anders Electronics is introducing three new display design-support kits for the TD035STEE1 3.5in VGA LTPS TFT display from TPO The kits will allow engineers to accelerate integration of TPO's high-resolution, physically compact and power-efficient LCD technology into embedded applications

High-brightness 15.1in XGA TFT panel
A high brightness 15.1in XGA TFT panel has been added to the extensive product line-up of Anders Displays, a division of Anders Electronics.
Low-cost solution to high-brightness requirements
A new range of high-quality colour TFT LCD panels is now available from Anders Electronics.
The three new kits solve the requirements for multiple power supply rails, power-supply sequencing, and display initialisation routines that characterise the newest LTPS displays.
The first kit provides a support board that performs all of the required power supply sequencing and display initialisation.
This board, called the AED601, has been developed by Anders Electronics explicitly to support customers using the TD035STEE1 and allows the designer to drive the display from their own SBC or display interface board.

White LED backlit mono graphics modules
A new range of standard white LED backlit mono graphics modules is now available from Anders Electronics.
The AED601 is available separately, and allows engineers to quickly connect the LTPS panel to an existing embedded computing platform or test bed PC.
The board features test points and accessible connectors to ease development, and the display is mounted within the outline of the board to enhance reliability by minimising pressure on the display connector.
An onboard PIC processor executes sample TD035STEE1 initialisation commands provided by Anders Electronics as part of the AED601 package.
The board measures 128 x 95mm and is delivered with circuit details, bill of materials (BOM) and full instructions, to accelerate the design of target hardware.
Anders has also introduced the AED701 interface board which allows the TD035STEE1 to be driven directly from the VGA port of a desktop PC, enabling engineers to begin proving application-level concepts before the embedded OS image or target hardware is available.
The AED701 measures 110 x 76mm with a separate VGA connector on a cable, and only requires a 12V PSU, VGA cable and a PC capable of outputting VESA-compliant VGA at 640 x 480 pixel to drive the display.
Completing the trio of development solutions supporting the TD035STEE1 is the computing module provided as part of the complete embedded development package - the highly integrated and sophisticated CM-X270 computer-on-module, which is based on the Intel PXA270 XScale processor.
The PXA270 features an integrated graphics controller supporting STN and TFT panels with a maximum resolution of 800 x 600, and allows the CM-X270 to be easily integrated into handheld and mobile applications including designs aimed at cost-sensitive markets.
