Having supplied the UK MoD with a substantial quantity of 100MHz analogue oscilloscopes, Aspen Electronics is now offering the GW Instek GOS-6112 at what is claimed to be an excellent price.

Ruislip-based specialist test instrumentation distributor Aspen Electronics has completed a contract to supply the UK MoD with a substantial quantity of 100MHz analogue oscilloscopes The GW Instek oscilloscope, model GOS-6112, selected following an open tender, was regarded the best in terms of value for money

The MoD was looking for a simple to use, general purpose instrument and the GOS-6112, supplied by Aspen, provided the ideal solution.

As a result of this significant contract, Aspen Electronics is able to offer all UK customers the same instrument at an excellent price, believed to be the most competitive in the UK, for this type of oscilloscope.

The GOS-6112 is a dual channel, 100MHz analogue oscilloscope with a delayed sweep function.

It features a cursor readout with seven choices of measurements, plus a panel setup lock.

The voltage range is specified at 2mV/div to 5V/div in 11 steps, and also has a continuously variable operation mode.

Sensitivity accuracy is better than 3%.

Rise time is 3.5ns and dynamic range is eight divisions at 60MHz and five divisions at 100MHz.

A z-axis modulation input is also included.

The main (A) sweep time is 50ns/div to 500ms/div, continuously variable and the delay (B) sweep time is 50ns/div to 50ms/div.

Sweep magnification is up to x10.

Accuracy is quoted at +/-3% (+/-5% at x10 magnification).

Delay time is 5us to 1s and delay jitter is better than 1:20000.

Trigger modes include auto, normal and TV, with a choice of trigger sources: channel 1, channel 2, line and external.

The GOS-6112 weighs just 9kg and is supplied with two probes (x1/x10) as standard.
