TCXO takes up half the space
Smaller, lower power oscillator makes no compromise on performance, offering enhanced frequency stability and superb phase noise.
Vectron International has developed a temperature-compensated crystal oscillator in a package just half the size of its predecessor The VTM3 TCXO offers equivalent phase noise performance to the proven VTC4 and VTC1 TCXOs but with a package footprint of just 3.2 x 2.5mm

Budget price for general-purpose spectrum analyser
The GW Instek GSP-827 general-purpose spectrum analyser is available from Aspen Electronics.
Available exclusively in the UK through Aspen Electronics, this smaller, lower power oscillator makes no compromise on performance, offering enhanced frequency stability and superb phase noise.
The device will particularly benefit product designers in the communications, industrial, test and military markets, seeking the design flexibility of reduced component size.
Specified with a phase noise floor of -155dBc/Hz, the VTM3 operates over an extended temperature range of -30 to +80C with a frequency stability of better than 0.5ppm.
The VTM3 is available at frequencies from 8 to 45MHz, with a clipped sign wave output and optional VCXO function.
The device is available with 2.8, 3.0 or 3.3V DC supply voltage, and power consumption can be as low as 1mA.
The TCXO is designed for use in a wide range of wireless RF applications, including GPS circuits for in-car navigation, pilot locator and security/tracking systems, WLAN, WiMAX and Wi-Fi basestations, Bluetooth modules, digital cameras, RFID devices, test equipment and wireless meter readers.
A voltage controlled version is also available, typically incorporated into a PLL, or where the output frequency needs fine tune adjustments.
Contained in a hermetically sealed, ceramic SMD package, with gold over nickel contacts, the device is RoHS compliant and fully compatible with lead-free production lines.
The crystal oscillators are already available in production volumes with typical lead times of 5 to 8 weeks.
Price depends on frequency option and volume, but is in the region of GBP 1.35 to GBP 3.50.
