Anglia has stepped in to rescue 85 jobs in the Ayrshire town of Girvan by buying the assets of AG Manufacturing Systems (AGMSL), which produces battery management systems.
In the wake of recent major job losses in Scotland, Wisbech-based distributor Anglia has stepped in to rescue 85 jobs in the Ayrshire town of Girvan by buying the assets of AG Manufacturing Systems (AGMSL), which produces battery management systems Under the terms of the deal, Anglia will invest GBP 1.5 million in production equipment and working capital to expand the operations of the company, which will now trade as AC Manufacturing Systems (ACMS)
"This is a logical addition for the Anglia group", commented chairman Bill Ingram.
"At present, we offer a complete design-and-build service for the ST range of microcontrollers, and through ACMS we will be able to extend this service to include portable power management support for a variety of applications in professional and consumer electronics".
