PCB assembly operation adds weight to distribution
Independent UK distributor Anglia Components has expanded its range of capabilities with the opening of a PCB assembly facility.
Leading component manufacturers taking part include STMicroelectronics, NDK, Hitachi/URT, Knitter Switch, Rohm and Murata.
The event takes place on the customers' premises, with product experts from each supplier giving a technical presentation and being on hand throughout the day to answer technical questions.
Lee Nye, Marketing Director at Anglia said: "Anglia now carries a vast range of products and, as a UK-focused technical distributor, is uniquely positioned to bring together leading suppliers to help communicate their latest offerings to customers".

Frequency control components come together
Just published by Anglia, the 116-page "Frequency data book" describes a host of frequency generators, filters and saw devices in depth.
"The Technology Days are an efficient and effective way for designers to keep up to date with the latest component technologies".
"This is especially valuable when you consider the time pressures that they face today - many do not have time to attend exhibitions, so we take the technology to them".
"The real innovation is that it's not just another roadshow but a series of in-depth technical presentations where the Anglia technical team is supported by the suppliers' own product experts".
The original Technology Day was held in June at the Megger Training School and received an enthusiastic response from the engineers who attended.
"The Anglia Technology Day provided our engineers with an excellent opportunity to learn how to get the best from designing with a wide range of component technologies".
"The product specialists from the different suppliers gave them exactly the right amount of detail, and were there to answer their specific design queries", commented Chris Wedge, Engineering Team Leader at Megger.
"A day like this is a very effective way for our engineers to update their technical knowledge without having to spend time off-site to attend courses".
"It is this very positive reaction from the one-off event that has encouraged us to extend it into a full programme", added Nye.
Anglia currently has a further four Technology Days planned and will set up dedicated events for other customers that request them.
