Anritsu has introduced two measurement software packages to add cdma2000 and p/4DQPSK capabilities to its MS8608A/MS8609A digital mobile radio transmitter tester The new software, when used in conjunction with Anritsu's existing W-CDMA and GSM measurement software, enables the transmission characteristics of all the world's main digital mobile telephone systems to be measured with a single platform

The MX860803A/MX860903A software supports cdmaOne (IS-95) and cdma2000 (3GPP2) measurements.

It carries out code domain analysis; frequency/modulation accuracy measurement; transmission power measurement; measurement of spurious signals close to the carrier; and spurious measurement.

The MX860805A/MX860905A software carries out PDC/PHS/NADC (IS-136) and general-purpose analysis measurements; frequency/modulation accuracy measurement; transmission power measurement; carrier-off leakage power measurement; rise and fall edge characteristic measurement; adjacent-channel power measurement; and spurious measurement.

Anritsu's MS8608A and MS8609A digital mobile radio transmitter testers offer a wide dynamic range spectrum analyser function, a high-speed modulation analyser and a high-accuracy power meter function, making them particularly suitable for R and D and manufacturing of basestation and mobile units as well as for installation and maintenance of basestations.
