Anritsu has promoted Alain Marion to the position of Assistant General Manager of the European Sales Region In his new role, Marion, who has been with Anritsu since 1990, will continue to be based in France and report directly to Paul Hunter, the recently appointed European MD

With over 30 years experience in test and measurement, Marion has managed to develop strong business relationships within the industry.

His career with Anritsu began following the company's merger with Wiltron in 1990 where Marion had been Managing Director.

Soon after joining Anritsu, he was commended for his work with what became the company's number one customer a few years later and won a number of awards including the best Anritsu office in 1998 and 1999 and 2000.

Commenting on Marion's appointment, Paul Hunter stated: "At this time of economic uncertainty and poor visibility, especially in the telecomms market, Anritsu has decided to rely on Marion's experience and hard work to enhance its European entity".

The new role will see Marion responsible for improvement of customer satisfaction by offering the best marketing and technical support (before and after sales) as part of the company's strategy which strives to raise Anritsu's global profile as an intelligent solutions provider.

Marion holds a degree in electronics from the University Institute of Technology in Ville d'Avray (Paris), and has held a number of technical positions prior to moving to focus on sales.
