A family of microwave spectrum analysers have a dynamic range of typically 100dB and a full suite of measurement features, allowing them to test RF and microwave devices quickly and precisely.

Anritsu's MS271xB family of economy microwave spectrum analysers cover the 9kHz to 7.1GHz, 13GHz, and 20GHz frequency ranges Offering good RF measurement performance and a full suite of measurement features, the MS271xB family consists of three models that are cost-effective alternatives for bench testing of microwave components, subsystems, and systems used in the wireless, aerospace/defense, and university markets

The MS271xB family analysers have 1Hz to 3MHz resolution bandwidth (RBW), amplitude accuracy better than +/- 1.3 dB, and low phase noise of -114 dBc/Hz at 10kHz offset.

With such high measurement performance, the spectrum analysers can accurately measure most wireless local oscillators and synthesisers.

Their superior dynamic range of typically 100dB allows the MS271xB family to test quickly and precisely RF and microwave devices that require exceptional linearity.

A full suite of measurement features helps engineers and technicians improve productivity, increase measurement capabilities, and lower test costs when analysing RF and microwave components.

Among the powerful features' are RMS detection and channel power ratio measurements, as well as AM/FM demodulation, limit testing, and extensive marker functions, including counted markers and marker noise measurements.

The MS271xB family provides bench engineers with a number of other benefits.

For EMC pre-compliance testing, the spectrum analysers have a quasi-peak detector and CISPR bandwidths as standard features.

They also offer a 65dB range input step attenuator and 20W input protection to reduce the potential of damage that can be caused by inexperienced operators.

An optional high-accuracy power meter supports Anritsu's 6GHz PSN50 sensor with +/- 0.16 dB power measurement accuracy.

All three models offer optional WCDMA/HSDPA RF measurements, and optional IQ demodulation hardware to support WCDMA demodulation.

The 7.1GHz MS2717B has an optional tracking generator to support filter and amplifier measurements, and optional WiMAX measurements that can be used by Fixed WiMAX equipment manufacturers.

Ergonomically designed, the MS271xB family has controls that are designed to improve productivity for manufacturing, R and D, and general-purpose test.

Compactly designed, the MS271xB family measures only 242 x 372 x 339mm and weighs 5.6kg.

The analysers also provide flexibility in the manufacturing environment, as they have 256Mbyte compact flash drive, 256Mbyte USB flash drive, Ethernet, and USB 2.0 connectivity to archive setups, update firmware, and transfer results.

Another benefit of the MS271xB family on the manufacturing line is its whisper-quiet operation and its low power consumption of only 35W.

The 9 kHz to 7.1GHz MS2717B has a delivery of 10 weeks ARO.

The 9 kHz to 13GHz MS2718B has a delivery of 12 weeks ARO.

The 9 kHz to 20GHz MS2719B has a delivery of 12 weeks ARO.
