Revenue for the full fiscal year ended 30th April 2001 was $43.6 million, an increase of 30% over the $33.5 million reported in the prior fiscal year.
Pro forma net income for Ansoft's core business increased 39% to $2.4 million, or $0.19 per diluted share, which excludes the effects of the amortisation of intangibles of $590,000 and expenses of $745,000 for Altra Broadband.
This compares with a pro forma net income of $1.7 million, or $0.13 per diluted share, reported for the same quarter in the prior fiscal year, which excludes the effects of the amortisation of intangibles of $661,000.
Pro forma net income for the fiscal year ended 30th April 2001 increased 179% to $4.9 million, or $0.38 per diluted share, which excludes the effects of the amortisation of intangibles of $2.4 million and expenses of $1.7 million for Altra Broadband.
This compares to pro forma net income of $1.8 million, or $0.14 per diluted share, reported in fiscal 2000, which excludes the effects of acquisition related amortisation of $2.5 million.
"Our core software business continues to grow from strength to strength", commented Nick Csendes, President and CEO of Ansoft.
"We are on track to achieve our goal of $100 million in revenue in three years".
Ansoft expects that total revenue in the next fiscal year will increase at least 25%.
Operating income for the next fiscal year is expected to increase over 50%, excluding its investment in Altra Broadband and acquired amortisation.
