Ansoft Designer v2, combined with Nexxim, HFSS and Q3D Extractor, offers the ideal solution for capturing true circuit performance including critical physical effects.
Dr Rich Hall, Director of Ansoft Designer Research and Development, said: "We are pleased with our ability to rapidly respond to our customers' needs and to fuel the continued growth of Ansoft Designer.
The dynamic links to Nexxim, HFSS and Q3D Extractor leverage Solver on Demand technology, making Ansoft Designer the premier RF/mixed-signal IC design environment".
Since Ansoft Designer's release less than a year ago, the market response has been exceptional, with revenue growth exceeding 70% over its predecessor products.
Customer feedback indicates that Ansoft's strategy to bring design capture, parametric analysis, optimisation and tuning with Solver on Demand seamlessly together within Ansoft Designer is succeeding at a growing number of design houses as the preferred design methodology.
Ansoft Designer v2 new features include: integration with Nexxim circuit simulator; a dynamic link with Ansoft's 3D quasistatic simulator, Q3D Extractor; environment scripting and netlist callback; system simulation expanded to address broadband spectral analysis; layout speed enhancements up to 1000x; system-circuit cosimulation for transient (non-steady-state) analysis (Nexxim); scripted parameterised layout export to HFSS; Ibis model support; Spice netlist import wizard; planar EM defeaturing for optimum meshing and simulation speed; electric rule checking; bill of materials; and model encryption.
