Ansoft Corporation has published financial results for its third quarter of fiscal 2006 ended 31st January 2006.

Revenue for the third quarter totalled $19.7 million, an increase of 13% compared with $17.4 million reported in the previous fiscal year's third quarter.
On a non-GAAP basis, net income for the third quarter was $4.5 million, or $0.35 per diluted share, representing a 52% increase when compared with non-GAAP net income of $3.0 million, or $0.23 per diluted share in the previous fiscal year's third quarter.
On a generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) basis, net income for the third quarter was $4.3 million, or $0.33 per diluted share, compared with GAAP net income of $2.8 million, or $0.21 per diluted share in the previous fiscal year's third quarter.
"We had an excellent quarter with more than 50% growth in earnings", said Nicholas Csendes, Ansoft's President and CEO.
"For the fourth quarter, we expect record revenues and record earnings".
