ANT has increased its commitment within the Asia Pacific region with the opening of a Singapore office to be headed by newly appointed Francis Quek, Vice President, Asia Pacific.
The Asia Pacific office, which will represent ANT to customers in China, Taiwan, Korea, Singapore, India, Japan, Hong Kong and Australasia, has been opened in response to the continued demand for ANT's products and services on a global scale.
"The Asia Pacific region has demonstrated one of the most rapid rates of growth in our customer base, with many consumer electronics companies anticipating and responding to interest in digital television and the roll-out of IPTV services", commented Simon Woodward, President and CEO of ANT.
"Our customers value the service we offer to ensure that the software we provide is perfectly tailored to their products".
"This regional representation will allow us to offer the same close, collaborative relationship to our Asia Pacific customers as we currently offer to our European and US customers".
Prior to his appointment as VP Asia Pacific for ANT, Francis Quek was Channel Director of Baan Asia Pacific, responsible for the co-ordination of business teams located across the region and the implementation of channel and alliance strategies.
Quek has more than 20 years' experience of pan-Asian strategic leadership.
He is a graduate in business administration from the National University of Singapore and speaks fluent English and Mandarin.
"The Asia Pacific region is already a key market for consumer electronics manufacturers", explained Quek.
"As digital television and the IPTV sector continue to expand globally, ANT is ideally positioned locally to work in partnership with manufacturers seeking to add value to their products with lightweight, customisable user interface solutions".
"I look forward to growing the company here and we are already considering a second office in the region in order to better service the increasing local demand".
