Taiwanese manufacturer of high-performance videocommunications solutions Leadtek has licensed the ANT Fresco browser as an integrated component of its next-generation broadband videophone set top box.
The demo will illustrate Galio's delivery of key applications, including an electronic programming guide (EPG), video on demand (VOD), multiple skins, zapper, betting, search function and EPG magnifier.
The demonstration with Scientific Atlanta, a Cisco company, builds on ANT's recent announcement that the two companies have signed a licensing and distribution agreement.
As part of this partnership, ANT will supply ANT Galio and the ANT Fresco browser for use within models of Scientific Atlanta's STBs.
"We are excited to debut the results of our most recent partnership with Scientific Atlanta and Quative at CES, as it is another proofpoint of ANT's ability to help operators offer high value TV services that increase revenue and profit per user", said Simon Woodward, CEO, ANT.
"With ANT Galio, operators are able to achieve a short time to launch and reduced application development complexity, all while controlling hardware costs".
ANT will also show the strength of its partnerships with key industry players during demonstrations on the following partner booths at CES: Scientific Atlanta (N227 North Hall); Texas Instruments (26426E South Hall); and NXP (N217 North Hall).
