Power amps cut current consumption in
half
New power amplifiers greatly reduce overall power consumption
Anadigics has brought out a new line of innovative CDMA 1X and 1XEVDO Power Amplifiers (PAs) designed to slash average current consumption by up to 50% over Anadigics' industry leading Help technology and up to 85% compared to conventional two-stage amplifiers Anadigics' ZeroIC products incorporate an innovative feature that reduces the power consumption of the PA to zero at low power levels

Modules help streamline 3G designs
Multichip front end modules provide complete transmit chain for WCDMA/Edge mobile handsets; including the power amplifier, RF coupler, transmit filter and duplexer, and antenna switch.
Dual-band power amp aids handset integration
The AWT6310R dual-band power amplifier module is used by LG Electronics in its VX9400 mobile phone.
Since most handsets transmit at low power levels in a fully populated network, this feature translates to significant power consumption savings for the handset.
"Following the success of our industry leading HELP2 PAs, Anadigics has once again set a new record in performance for CDMA power amplifiers in the industry", says Dr Ali Khatibzadeh, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Wireless Products at Anadigics.
"The ZeroIC family of CDMA power amplifiers was optimally designed to offer CDMA subscribers best-in-class operating time".
The novel power-saving features of ZeroIC PAs are made possible by Anadigics' InGaP-Plus technology and differentiated design IP.
This semiconductor process integrates switches and amplifier components onto the same die thus enabling creative new architectures and solutions for customers.
Measuring 3.0 x 3.0 x 1.0mm, these new products allow designers to create ultra slim and compact products.
In addition to its small size and power saving features ZeroIC PAs also integrate an internal voltage regulator to further reduce space and BOM cost.
The ZeroIC family of products include AWT6331 for US Cellular Band, AWT6332 for PCS Band, AWT6334 for Japan Cell Band, AWT6335 for IMT band.
