Arcobel Embedded Solutions is partnering with MEN Mikro Elektronik and Sysgo to hold a seminar entitled "Quickstart with embedded Linux".

"Due to the fact that seminars are normally held by either a hardware or a software manufacturer, the participants often don't gain insights into the coaction of both of them", said Allard van Veelen, Marketing Manager of Arcobel.

"Arcobel has decided to organise a seminar with MEN Mikro Elektronik and Sysgo to show how hardware and software work together".

The seminar is designed for embedded systems developers who want to use Linux for their future intelligent devices.

Software partner Sysgo will introduce its embedded Linux distribution ELinOS with the integrated configuration for MEN boards.

Furthermore the seminar shows how migration from proprietary operating systems can be made.

Hardware partner MEN will present its embedded PowerPC-based board-level portfolio running ELinOS, comprising: 3 and 6U CompactPCI, 3 and 6U VMEbus, ESM embedded system modules and PC/104+.
