Microwave signal generators add pulsed output

The Aeroflex 6800 Series with internal pulse modulator is the only self-contained, single-box radar testing solution on the market.

Aeroflex has added an internal pulse modulator capability to its 6810 and 6820 Series microwave signal generators and scalar analysers.

The instruments can perform advanced radar testing, calibration, maintenance and repair in either coaxial or waveguide media.

The internal pulse modulator - Option 25 - is available on all new Aeroflex 6810 Series microwave signal generators and 6820 Series microwave scalar analysers (with the exception of 6821).

Option 25 can also be retrofitted to any existing Aeroflex 6810 or 6820 Series systems (with the exception of 6821).

The option is available in two frequency ranges, from 50 to 18GHz for typical radar test and from 50 to 40GHz for specialty applications.

For both Aeroflex's 6810 and 6820 Series systems, the internal pulse modulator offers the ability to perform sensitivity and range measurements for radar receivers and enables the user to test pulsed amplifiers under pulsed conditions.

In the Aeroflex 6820 Series microwave scalar analysers, the internal pulse modulator also facilitates insertion loss, return loss and fault location (distance-to-fault) measurements on radar systems in both coax and waveguide.

Option 25 for the Aeroflex 6810 and 6820 Series microwave signal generators and scalar analysers will be available in late September 2007.
