Chen brings process experience
AnalogicTech has appointed Jun-Wei Chen as Vice President of Technology.
AnalogicTech has appointed Jun-Wei Chen as Vice President of Technology.
With decades of experience in CMOS, BiCMOS and DMOS process technology development at some of the leading companies in the industry, Chen has the senior-level expertise required to lead AnalogicTech's dedicated technical organisation.
Chen's responsibilities include the development of proprietary process technologies, including device conceptualisation and modelling, process development and integration, simulation, and intellectual property.
He reports directly to Richard K Williams, President, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Technical Officer of AnalogicTech.
"Proprietary process technology is a primary focus at AnalogicTech, which makes it an ideal place for me to apply my knowledge and experience", said Jun-Wei Chen.
"By separating process and technology development from product development, AnalogicTech is taking an innovative approach to power management IC development".
Jun-Wei Chen is a senior-level engineering executive with experience in advanced CMOS, BiCMOS, DMOS, and high-speed bipolar integrated circuit development, process integration, and device physics.
Before joining AnalogicTech, he served as Vice President of Technology for SmartASIC Technology, where he led the development of the company's high-voltage driver ICs for plasma display panels (PDPs).
Prior to his work at SmartASIC, Chen was Chief Technology Officer for CLL Technology, a manufacturer of LCD-TFT gate driver ICs.
He has also held executive-level positions at Trident Microsystems (Assistant Vice President of Operations) and OPTi (Vice President of Foundry and Product Engineering).
Early in his career, Chen held technical management positions at Quality Semiconductor, Siliconix, National Semiconductor and Trilogy Systems.
He began his career as a member of the technical staff at Hewlett-Packard Laboratories.
Chen holds a PhD and an MS in electrical engineering from Carnegie-Mellon University, and a BS in electrical engineering from National Taiwan University.
