Single/triple outputs - same size DC/DC convertors
Combining high reliability, increased flexibility and enhanced performance the APC200 DC/DC convertors' design allows single and triple outputs from the same full brick size (117x61x12.7mm) case
DC/DC convertors in glowing colour
Advanced Power Conversion has published its first full colour catalogue.
The first is the APC-F501, a compact, low profile, 500W, full-brick, DC/DC convertor measuring (116.8 x 61.0 x 12.7mm) that very efficiently (typically better than 90%) converts a lower DC voltage to a higher DC voltage.
The versatility of the patented Interleaved full-bridge boost buck (IFB3) topology permits nominal input voltages of 24 or 28V DC to be boosted up to a regulated 28 or 48V DC.
The second product is reached by combining the standard APC-F501 with a heatsink and filtering onto a single board.
This provides a straightforward, scalable and cost-effective solution to increased power requirements and the versatility needed for N+1 redundancy.
The third device, the APC2000, supplies up to 2000W of 48V DC output from a 24V DC input from each 2 x 3U unit.
The efficiency of the four APC500 DC/DC convertors in each APC2000 provides excellent power density and easier thermal management than conventional convertors.
A 3U-high 19in-rack-mount chassis can house up to four of the hot-swappable convertors to supply 8kW of total power, or 6kW of N+1 redundant power.
Where space is at a premium, the APC2000 can also be mounted horizontally in a 2U 19in rack supplying 6000W of total DC power.
With telecomms service providers looking to reduce costs plus protect and leverage their significant investment, the APC range of step-up DC/DC conversion products provides an immensely flexible, scalable power solution that is compact, cost-effective and means that new 48V powered technologies can overlay the installed base of 24V powered equipment.
