Low-profile supplies are configured to order
The A3600 series of ultra-low-profile 1U-high 19in rack-mount configurable AC/DC power supplies offers users multiple-output "custom" power solutions without extended lead times or high NRE costs.
New from Powerstax, the A3600 series of ultra-low-profile 1U-high 19in rack-mount configurable AC/DC power supplies are capable of providing up to 3600W output power.
The A3600 offers users multiple-output "custom" power solutions without extended lead times or high NRE costs.
The A3600 employs a modular construction that has been developed to deliver advanced market-leading versatility using ultra-high-efficiency (90%) standard products from the Powerstax range.
In a very compact, ultra-low-profile 1U-high 19in rack-mount package 351mm deep, the A3600 offers combinations of single- or multiple-output regulated DC power from a universal input mains supply of 85-264V AC.
Input and output connection may be specified at front or rear and may be cable entry, connector or safety stud as required.
With up to 18 isolated and adjustable outputs, it is possible to individually margin, enable, parallel or stack the outputs to provide literally millions of power variants.
Features include zero load operation and fully floating outputs that have standard output voltage ranges from 1.5 to 58V, few electrolytic capacitors (all long life), local and remote adjustment, and user adjustable current limit and inhibit/enable functions.
Tim Worley, CEO of Powerstax comments: "Recent market trends have been to produce single output redundant power supplies for telecomms applications".
"Our new A3600 series provides a simple to configure, readily available multi-output power system for more the complex power requirements required by industrial and medical system manufacturers".
This innovative Powerstax design allows rapid delivery of customer configured units, fully approved and CE marked, in a matter of weeks.
This enhanced flexibility together with lower design costs and improved lead times enables power supply designers to meet special and unique power architecture requirements.
Typical applications include communications, battery replacement, radio transmitter systems, medical, instrumentation, industrial, test and measurement markets and all rack mounted nonstandard and custom requirements.
