Applied Kilovolts is one of the world's leading manufacturers of precision high voltage power supplies.
These modular units are used to power specialist instruments such as mass spectrometers and low power X-ray machines, and are exported to Europe and the USA.
Operating in the 1 to 60kV range, their extremely low ripple and highly stable output are essential to enable the highest accuracies in scientific instruments such as mass spectrometers, electron guns, photomultiplier tubes, microchannel plates, electrostatic lenses and low power X-ray equipment.
The main applications for these precision power modules are in mass spectroscopy and low power X-ray machines, with the latter being increasingly used in monitoring fill levels in food production, as well as medical diagnostics.
