HPC character modules are the latest technology for high performance LCDs at a low cost from Optrex.

The new range of high performance colour character modules from Optrex use the latest colour technology.

These LCDs have many novel performance enhancements including: an extended operating temperature range from -20 to +70C, making them suitable for many working environments; an internal black mask to improve contrast and legibility; and are available in a wide variety of colours and industry-standard configurations with compatibility with existing Optrex modules.

All modules are RoHS compliant.

Certain models in the series use the highly reflective technology, which features very high contrast black pixels on a "highly reflective" transflective background, therefore reflecting a much higher percentage of light back to the viewer.

This feature of the HR (highly reflective) series makes these modules very popular for applications where the display can be used without the backlight as well as in direct sunlight.

The HR series also have a white LED backlight to make the module suitable for any lighting condition.

All displays in the HPC series have LED backlights.
