A novel 13A socket system from Aphel now offers 45-degree orientation for its well established DB2000 socket strip programme All types of networking applications are relevant to the new Aphel 45-degree socket strip, which saves space in racks and furniture cabling channels

Typically, anything from 6 to 30 sockets may be required with a PDU rating of 13, 16 or 32A to accommodate the multiple servers or computers per rack that today's intensive networks call for.

Added benefits to the 45-degree configuration include improved appearance and easier operation in day to day use.

The MT socket development that makes this new style PDU possible is a patented 13A unit with screwless terminals, specifically designed for use in OEM units rather than the more normal screw terminal type intended for domestic situations.

DB2000 45-degree socket strips feature sockets oriented relative to the power cord at 45 degree LH or RH, or alternate in herringbone formation.

Classical horizontal and vertical arrangements are of course retained for standard requirements.

Cable runs to equipment are made easier, and by virtue of the closer socket spacing made possible with the MT unit, many more sockets can be fitted vertically than previously.

This enables users to keep pace with the ever-increasing demand for more sockets in racks and on desks while staying within their space constraints.

DB2000 units feature universal clip foot fixing and are available in white or black.
