Ampro Computers has introduced the new MightySystem computer based on the MightyBoard family of embedded single board computers The new MightySystem is a turnkey computer system in a Mini-ITX form factor that allows OEMs and solution providers to build systems that greatly improves graphics and data processing performance in a small footprint

MightySystem enables high resolution displays up to 2048 x 1526 75Hz CRT and 24bit LVDS resolution up to 1600 x 1200.

Additionally, MightySystem products complement Ampro's ReadySystem industrial computers adding Mini-ITX enclosures and offering support for Intel processors up to 2.0GHz with PCI Express graphics and I/O, Gigabit Ethernet, Serial ATA (SATA) storage, USB 2.0, up to 2Gbyte DDR2 RAM, and ACPI power management.

"With Ampro's new MightySystem we continue expanding our system offerings providing our customers high value leading-edge technologies", said Joanne Mumola Williams, President and CEO of Ampro.

"Out MightySystem uses the world's smallest PCI express motherboard and brings a new level of performance to embedded computers allowing our customers to quickly deploy new technologies in digital media applications such as media information terminals, gaming and digital advertising".

This system allows for extraordinary flexibility in building a computing solution without performance constraints.

It is an ideal solution for a media PC or an A/V centre environment.

Optical storage is available with a slim line DVD-ROM/CD-RW for media centric applications.

The small form factor system allows OEMs and system integrators to build high performance while making it very easy to work inside the enclosure.

Media playback, Direct3D gaming and multimedia authoring are among the targeted applications for MightySystem computers as well as a host of other custom PC solutions.

For media applications quality is an important issue and Ampro's MightySystem has the performance to eliminate scintillation ("jaggies") block noise, double imaging and tearing that reduce the image quality with other systems.

Supporting both CRT and LVDS video interfaces, MightySystems are well-suited for digital media, gaming and other graphics-intensive applications.

A MightySystem based on the MightyBoard 800 offers up to 1.4GHz Pentium M and includes Intel Extreme Graphics 2 controller for both CRT and LVDS video display output.

Additionally it includes AC97 audio, four USB ports, one Gigabit and one 10/100 Ethernet port and up to 1Gbyte DDR memory.

A MightyBoard 821 based system offers a choice of 2.0GHz Pentium M 760 or 1.5GHz Celeron M 370 processor, along with the Intel 915GM chipset and up to 2Gbyte DDR2 533 RAM using two DIMM slots.

A rich set of I/O includes six USB 2.0 ports, both EIDE and Serial ATA interfaces, two Intel 82573 PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet ports, a x16 PCI Express slot for high-end graphics as well as integrated chipset graphics.

Ampro's MightySystem computer products are available with Windows XP, Windows XP Embedded, Windows CE, and a full Linux 2.6 distribution to help customers, OEMs, and system integrators rapidly deploy Ampro products into their small form factor application environments.

The MightySystem is available now with the MightyBoard 800 and will be available within 90 days with the MightyBoard 821.
