Yang adds EDA industry experience

Dr Dian Yang has joined Apache Design Solutions as Vice President of Business Development and General Manager of Asia.

Dr Dian Yang has joined Apache Design Solutions as Vice President of Business Development and General Manager of Asia.

He reports to Andrew Yang, Apache's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

"I am excited to have someone of Dian's calibre join Apache as we enter our next major stage of growth", said Andrew Yang.

"His past experience with the EDA industry and his extensive knowledge of the Asia market will serve us well as we continue to grow our market share in Asia, as well as world wide".

Yang has more than 18 years of experience in the EDA and semiconductor industries.

Most recently, he was cofounder and CEO of InnoLogic Systems, a provider of formal verification solutions for full-custom designs.

InnoLogic was acquired by Synopsys in 2003, where he continued as a senior director leading the adoption and advancement of the InnoLogic products.

Prior to InnoLogic, Yang held various management positions in SGI/MIPS, LSI and Avant!.

Yang received his PhD and MSc in computer science from Stanford University and a BSc degree from Shanghai University of Science and Technology.
