LG Electronics has adopted Apache's full-chip dynamic power closure solution, RedHawk-EV with automated noise fixing and optimisation LG selected RedHawk based on its good correlation results, the ability to analyse the impact of power/ground noise on critical path timing, and automatically fix and optimise power problem areas

For SoC designs at 130nm process and below, LG will use Apache's products from early in the design process through final validation to ensure power closure sign-off.

"Productivity and reliability are key criteria for our high volume consumer products", said Woo-Hyun Paik, Vice President of LG Electronics.

"RedHawk enables us to quickly identify, analyse, and repair potential noise issues that can impact our silicon, thus improving our productivity and increasing our confidence in tapeout success".

"We are pleased to have a consumer electronics market leader such as LG place their confidence in our dynamic power closure solution", said Dian Yang, General Manager of Asia at Apache.

"LG's adoption once again demonstrates Apache's commitment to providing the best solution to address our customers critical design challenges".
