Edited by the Electronicstalk editorial team Oct 9, 2006

Shure has selected apt-X Live after a series of extensive listening and performance tests conducted over a period of several months.

APT has licensed its latest audio algorithm to Shure.

Shure selected apt-X Live after a series of extensive listening and performance tests conducted over a period of several months.

"The adoption of apt-X Live by such a well-respected audio electronics company is a terrific endorsement of this exciting new technology", comments Noel McKenna, APT Managing Director.

"Shure has clearly established itself as a world leader in microphones and professional audio products and we are delighted to be working closely with them to accelerate the evolution of wireless audio systems".

The deal is significant both commercially and strategically for APT and for Shure.

"We chose to enter into a technology partnership with APT because they have proven to be very successful in developing and refining products for the professional broadcast industry", said Jeff Krull, Vice President of Product Development for Shure.

"The relationship is a natural fit between both organisations; Shure is an established leader in manufacturing wireless microphone systems and APT is expanding its capabilities in the wireless arena".

"We're looking forward to collaborating with them on future product development applications".
