Chassis aids packet switched backplane development
The new 2U four-slot Zephyr cPSB horizontal chassis from Electronic Solutions is designed for 19in rack mount or desktop use.
The new 2U four-slot Zephyr cPSB horizontal chassis from Electronic Solutions is designed for 19in rack mount or desktop use.
Two 6U cPSB backplane options are offered: the first with the fabric slot located in physical slot 1, with two node slots and the system slot in physical slot 4 (positioned at the top of the chassis); the second has the system slot additionally configured as a node slot.
Both versions conform to PICMG 2.16 R1.
Other backplane configurations such as H.110 are also available.
Designed for use in both the development and production environment, the Zephyr chassis provides high packaging density for space limited rack mount applications or it can be used as a self-contained integrated enclosure for stand-alone use.
Zephyr enables both 160mm deep front mounted modules and rear transition modules to be used.
A hot-swappable front-loading fan tray gives high performance left-to-right cooling with an optional LED fan status indication and 3.5 or 5.25in HDD mounting plates are provided for systems requiring mass storage outside the active module area.
The power options are a fixed ATX PSU giving 250W, a 200W pluggable supply or, for high availability systems, dual 200W hot-swappable pluggable units.
