Wire and cable meets RoHS requirements
Alpha Wire International has revealed that 95% of its 10,000 wire, cable and tubing part numbers will be RoHS compliant by July 2005 and that these can be specified and ordered immediately.
Punch down and earth strap for connector
The RJ-LnxxT IP67 rated, sealed, industrial RJ-45 connectors, available in the UK from Aerco, are now available with IDC punch down and earth strap terminations.
The cable has been rigorously tested to six million flex life cycles to ensure that it is able to meet the rigors of a demanding flexing environment.
The perfectly round geometry of the cables ensures a liquid tight installation and the premium grade PVC jacket enables easier routing of the cable, especially in tight spaces.
This makes it ideal for machines and equipment that require cabling to be routed through C-tracks.
For maximum cable performance Suprashield deploys a tinned copper braid, a drain wire and a trilaminate aluminium foil designed to offer the most complete protection against electrical noise across the full frequency range.
For flexible cable applications, Alpha's Suprashield Flex shielding system combines a double jacket construction with a high coverage (85%) tinned copper braid to ensure the maximum signal protection in EMC intensive environments while maintaining the desired flexing characteristics of the cable.
Harry Quinn, European Sales Manager for Alpha Wire International, summed up why getting the correct cables specified was so important: "Selecting the correct cables for critical applications is essential to overall system reliability, performance and safety".
"It's also crucial that this selection is made from the outset to avoid cable failure, which could be disastrous for equipment such as MRI scanners where mistakes are just not an option".
"By understanding what our customers need and what will be required as technology moves forward we can ensure that Xtra-Guard, cables will continue to protect installations and deliver tangible results".
