ARC International has now licensed more than 100 companies to use its patented configurable SoC technology.

ARC International has now licensed more than 100 companies to use its patented configurable SoC technology.

ARC International passed this milestone because of the growing demand by silicon designers for configurable processor cores and subsystems that enable the design of value-added and cost-effective SoCs ideally suited for high-volume applications.

ARC's licensees include systems OEMs and semiconductor companies, such as Broadcom, Fujitsu, Infineon, IPWireless, LeapFrog, SanDisk, Siano Mobile Silicon, Sony, UPEK and TTPCom.

"ARC International is leading the configurable revolution by providing patented technology for configurable SoC solutions which combine maximum product differentiation with optimum cost-efficiency", said Derek Meyer, Vice President of Marketing for ARC International.

"ARC's growing licensee list of more than 100 individual companies underscores the increasing adoption of configurable technology for the design of a range of consumer, storage and networking applications".
