Courses will cover topics such as how to design with the ARC Video and Audio subsystems, the ARC 600 and 700 configurable core families, the use of audio and video algorithms with ARC's products, and development tools, EDA flows, and operating systems that support ARC's subsystems and cores.
The centre's establishment is in response to the dramatic increase in demand by companies in Greater China for ARC's configurable solutions, which offer the ability to create system-on-chips (SoCs) that are more differentiated and may be lower cost to manufacture when compared to "fixed architecture" alternatives.
ARC recently held the first-ever developers conference dedicated to configurability - ConfigCon - in Taiwan's Hsinchu Science Park.
Recent regional investments by ARC also include increasing sales and customer support staff, and marketing activities.
Derek Meyer, senior vice president of sales and marketing at ARC International, said, "Our worldwide network of training offices have expanded into Asia to support the burgeoning design activity occurring in both Taiwan and China".
"With ARC's patented, easy-to-use ARChitect Processor Configurator training an SoC designer to create an optimised CPU is relatively easy".
"This reduces the time a customer needs to master ARC's configurable methodology and speeds their time to market with ARC-Based silicon".
