The new range of PrintGard thermal printer enclosures from Armagard enables problem-free bar code labelling in hostile environments Even industrial-class thermal printers struggle in manufacturing and storage environments

Dust contamination in print jets can add "rogue" white stripes to bar codes rendering the labels useless, and temperature extremes can stop printers working altogether.

Problems like this prevent many companies from locating their thermal printers where they really need them - in loading bays, dusty storage facilities, washdown areas, chill and freezer stores.

Instead, they hide their printers away in management offices - inconvenient for staff and a hindrance to efficiency.

PrintGard Enclosures are designed to keep thermal printers dry, dust-free and within their recommended temperature range.

The enclosures are available in mild or stainless steel and are robust enough to protect printers from even forklift impact.

A range of thermostatically-controlled heating and cooling systems can be fitted enabling printers to be used in temperatures as low as -30C.

The lockable units will accommodate most models of thermal printer.
