To minimise the costs of computerisation in hazardous areas, Armagard offers a Restricted Breathing Enclosure for zone 2 classified areas.

To minimise the costs of computerisation in hazardous areas, Armagard offers a Restricted Breathing Enclosure for zone 2 classified areas.

The off-the-shelf enclosure enables a standard desktop PC and up to 21in monitor to be used without risk, providing an affordable alternative to hazardous area computers.

An integral membrane keyboard and pointing device provide operator control.

The enclosure is compliant with the latest ATEX Directive (94/9/EC) which will enforce accurate classification of hazardous areas.

This will reveal many zone 2 areas which have are currently blanket classified as zone 1.

Consequently, computerisation will become more affordable in these areas.

The Restricted Breathing Enclosure augments Armagard's range of solutions for Zone 2, washdown and general industrial environments.
