Development kits get wireless up and running
Development tools from AeroComm enable OEMs to rapidly introduce wireless connectivity into their product or process.
Development tools from AeroComm enable OEMs to rapidly introduce wireless connectivity into their product or process.
After assisting hundreds of OEMs integrating wireless communication, AeroComm has released Developers Tools for all of its products.
AeroComm's extensive wireless background gives OEMs of all experience levels access to their own virtual RF engineering team.
Each developer kit contains radios and all accessories to build ConnexRF modules into most applications.
Not just a kit of parts, each OEM is assigned a dedicated AeroComm design engineer to assist throughout development, integration, antenna selection and certification.
Hardware items in the developer tool packages comprise ConnexRF transceivers, RS232 adapter boards, power adapters and cables, antennas and documentation.
Additionally, a software CD ROM is included in the kit.
In an easy to use, menu-driven format, AeroComm's Windows/DOS-compatible software provides several helpful development utilities, allowing OEMs to quickly begin performing tests for configuration modes, range measurements and data throughput.
Additionally, designers can easily program the transceivers to any desired configuration with the EEPROM viewer/editor feature.
All ConnexRF transceivers have configuration parameters stored in EEPROM that are used to customise the serial interface mode and provide for general system setup.
The modules are shipped with default parameters already configured to enable plug-and-play; these can be changed using the development tools or with custom interfaces developed by the OEM.
All RF products are required to meet regulatory compliance such as ETSI/CE (Europe), FCC (USA) and IC (Canada).
AeroComm's OEM transceiver approvals help eliminate significant costs and time; however regulatory compliance is still required for the final product.
Here, Aerocomm's experts can help guide OEMs through the approval process.
The combination of ready-to-use, agency-approved transceivers with comprehensive RF integration support enables OEMs without RF expertise to incorporate wireless communication into their products.
Designed to replace bulky, costly wiring installations, AeroComm offers a range of agency approved ConnexRF transceiver modules operating in the 2.4GHz frequency band.
The modules are suitable for applications where low cost, high reliability and fast data throughput are essential.
